Winter Coursing in Finland 8.-9.3.2008
Essi Vuohu: Finnish Borzoiclub arranges national Lure Coursing competition in Tammela, Mustiala 8.-9.3.2008. I have heard that many sighthound owners are interested about this competitions, so I put a little information also here. Place of the coursing competition is same than it was in European Coursing 2006, Mustiala, in town named Tammela. We will try to find out some hotels or other places for recidend. These are regional coursing, so the best dogs get Finnish CAC but not CACIL. All breeds from FCI 10 can take part, also silken windhounds and hortaya borzaya. From FCI 5 we accept pharaoh hound, podenco ibicenco, podengo portugues (all sizes) and also rhodesian ridgeback from FCI 6. Whippets and italian greyhounds must have measure certificate in/with the coursing lisence. Too high dogs can take part and can take also certificates in this regional coursing. Saturday 8.3 competites afghan hound, pharaoh hound, pogenco ibicenco, saluki and rhodesian ridgeback Sunday 9.3 competites other breeds from FCI 10, podengo portugues, silken windhound and hortaya borzaya Registration before 15.2 by e-mail essi.vuohu (at) kolumbus.fi, entry fee is 25 eur, same owners 3rd dog 20 eur. All in this photos look like on the reall hunt..., especially open mouth at a borzoi in the first photo. It look like - she(he) want to take hare in this moment ... Third photo - in Russian rules it is look like natural "ugonka".
Essi Vuohu: Thank you! These two borzois are sisters from same litter, and they really do work together very well. In third photo they are just catching the lure. One more thing about breeds: Rhodesians, hortaya borzayas and silken windhounds are not allowed to get coursing CC, they competite as unofficial breeds.

Essi Vuohu: For registration to this competitionI need following information by e-mail: Dog's breed Dog's name Male/female Date of birth Reg. number Coursing lisence number Owner's name Home town (I don't need the whole address) Is the dog already Lure Coursing Champion? If yes, in what country? E-mail address (or telephone number with national and regional codes) One person can register other dogs on behalf of their owners, this way only his/her e-mail address is needed.
